We need your voice to continue our work to halt the oil and gas industries’ continued pursuit of growth opportunities in petrochemicals. Hip Hop Caucus is committed to stopping the expansion of new plants, shutting down current plants, and advocating for the safe and equitable treatment of Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities.
We demand the end of current petrochemical facilities and expansion of future petrochemical facilities, especially at the expense of Black, Brown and Indigenous lives
We demand language justice in petrochemical emergency preparedness plans
We demand planning and zoning commissions must require and enforce buffer zones around petrochemical facilities that protect EJ communities
We demand accessible legal assistance and expertise that build stronger court cases against the petrochemical industry
We demand open source data that highlight the myths, misinformation and unfulfilled promises of the petrochemical industry
We demand stricter regulations on the petrochemical industry that accounts for the health of the people and ecosystems surrounding facilities
We demand resources that promote local leadership training for community members to hold political position that will counter current pro-petrochemical representatives
We demand clean energy industries that economically revitalize communities damaged by the petrochemical facilities.
We demand unbiased health data that connects petrochemicals’ toxins to EJ community health outcomes that result in strong health-impact connections that will shift policy
We demand resources to the campaigns that elevate the stories and voices of those fighting against the petrochemical industry
